People with cough or fever should self-isolate for 7 days from the onset of symptoms.

This applies to symptoms of recent onset, meaning within the last 7 days.

You can return to work after 7 days if you're improving but do not need to be symptom free.

You should contact your GP if you're not improving after 7 days.

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. From 16/3/20 as per government advice if someone in your household has symptoms you should all self isolate for a period of 14 days.

Use the online coronavirus service to find out what to do next if you've developed any of these symptoms and are worried about coronavirus.

If you don't have symptoms and are looking for general information, a free helpline has been set up on 0800 028 2816.
