Home Visits

Doctor's bag Home visits are made at the discretion of the doctor. If you require a home visit please telephone the surgery on 0141 435 1500. The receptionist may ask for details of the complaint. This information is used by the practice nurse or doctor to assess the urgency of the call. All information is treated as confidential.

Home visits are intended for the very ill or housebound and requests should be made before 10:00 unless in an emergency. Visits can be made to the patient's home or another address within the practice area. The doctor may arrange referral of a patient without first seeing him or her in a case where the medical condition of that patient makes that course of action appropriate.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
